Where she started
Couldn't sit for more than 20 minutes. Stopped running entirely. Had seen three physios. None had explained what was actually happening. A scan showed "mild degeneration" which she'd been told meant she had to live with it.
What we did
Phase 1: hands-on to settle the angry tissue. Phase 2: gradual loading of the back, hips, glutes. Phase 3: progressive return to running, walk-run intervals.
Where she ended
Six sessions over three months. Back to running 5K. Sitting through a workday without pain. Still does the strength work twice a week to stay ahead of it.
